I need to get a ‘Thai Teachers Licence’ from the ministry of education for a Non-B Visa. Where can I apply for one? I live in Bangkok.

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a Thai Teacher's License for a Non-B Visa, you need to apply through the Teacher's Council of Thailand, not directly from the Ministry of Education. You can find more information and apply at their official site.

Teacher's licences or waivers are issued by the Teacher's Council of Thailand, not the MoE.

Language centres do not come under OBEC, and a licence or waiver is not required.

Just read what is inside the Work Permit. There is a section called "Job Title" and a section "Job prescription".

maybe they haven’t done a waiver before as it’s a new school and only opened last year, all the other teachers will be qualified. Any link about the waiver I can send them please?

Your school's HR department must know, as they will have applied for licences/waivers for all of their foreign teachers.

I’m a football coach being hired to run the football programme at an international school. How do I go about the waiver?

Do you have an education degree or a PGCE? Without either of those, you will only be issued a waiver, and they are free.

This is what I was told by the school:

· Thai Teachers License: This is required for your work permit application as per Thai Ministry of Education guidelines, if you don’t have one, you will need to apply for one at the Ministry of Education and the fee is 3000 thb.
