Currently on a 1year extension visa (retirement) that expires Aug 6, 2024.

Flew back to USA to see my kids for Christmas and booking a ticket towards the end of January back to thailand to stay indefinitely. I intend to extend my visa again for another year prior to Aug 6.

BUT my question is will most airlines allow me to board w a one way ticket since my Retirement visa in passport expires Aug 6? I don’t know when I will return to USA for a short visit. Or do I need to keep buying a throwaway return ticket? Pls advise what other long term retirees do.
