Hi,

is the 60 day visa exemption available for land crossing, or only at International airport?

If I do come by land crossing, do I get stamped in at the border? How long would that be for?

(Irish passport)

Thanks in advance.

Have a 60 day TV and just into my 30 day extension. Thinking of doing a land crossing into Laos and applying for a new 60 day TV there. Anyone done this recently, any constructive advise is welcome.

Land crossing Thailand/Laos. So far, all my exits/entries from Thailand have been by air. Next week I may want to cross the Mekong into Laos. Do I still have to pay 1000 baht for a re-entry permit to maintain my retirement visa? Thanks, Jack

Regarding the visa amnesty,

I have one land crossing left for this year.

When the amnesty ends, will it effect my ability to do a land crossing?

My husband and I have a current OA visa which we obtained in our home country. I understand that if we leave Thailand before the visa expires, the IO will stamp us in for another year extension. Can we do this using a land crossing or do we have to arrive by air?

Hi just need a little advice on travel while on a ED VISA, looking to go to Laos next month for a few days and understand that I need to pay for a renetry permit before I go.

If I do this am I able to reenter Thai land via a land crossing, as I have already 2 VISA exempt entries by land earlier this year. So im just unclear on this?

Thanks in advance.

Thoughts please wether this is at all possible. I have had 4 METVs already spending 10-11 months per year in Thailand.

If I am issued another from Australia what chances of being denied entry in BKK (assuming have the 20k etc)? If that is not an option is CNX better alternative and or land crossing more of a chance?

I know there is no concrete answer to this post but would really appreciate some input anyways.

I am an American with 3 back to back tourist visas. I just got a 6 month ED visa in Vietnam. I was thinking I might fly to Vientiane and do a land crossing there. However, that will cost quite a bit more and take a lot of time. With this many tourist visas before my ED would flying to suvarnabhumbi be most likely too risky? I know hard question to answer but would appreciate any input. I have proof of funds I can show.

So basically, am I being over cautious going through Vientiane and flying into bkk with an ED visa would most likely be ok? Or is going through the extra mile for a land crossing a wise decision?

Thanks for any input.

On a 6 month METV, when doing the border runs at 60/90 days does it have to be by air or can be a land crossing by bus?
