Has anyone had any recent experience getting from Laos-Thailand via the Vientiane-Nang Khai Bridge? We’re going for the crossing tomorrow. We’ve not been to any listed countries in the last 14 days but we are British passport holders. Gotta get into Thailand somehow now - our escape flight home is from BKK!

we’re planning on getting either the no. 14 to the friendship bridge or the shuttle through to nong khai early tomorrow afternoon if you want to tag along, we need to get to nong khai train station by around 17:45 but fancy leaving sooner rather than later in case of border issues/health checks

We’re in Vientiane at the moment, don’t currently have the visa for Thailand but we’ve only made one land crossing in this last year

You should be able to enter by land across from Friendship Bridge on a visa exempt.

Where are you at? Are you in Thailand or Laos? Do you have a tourist visa to enter Thailand? Did you cross into Thailand by land twice so far in a calendar year?
