You can cross a land border as many times as you want.

It's only entering Thailand without a visa, using visa exempt, that you are limited to 2 times per calendar year.

So you can leave Thailand an unlimited number of times at a land border.

You can enter an unlimited number of times at a land border with a visa.

The 2 times limit for visa exempt entries at a land border resets on January 1st.

You can find a visa agent who will "smooth things over" for around 4k for a border bounce and around 10-12k for a visa run.
