Can a traveler make a land crossing to a different country after two border bounces to Burma without flying to re-enter Thailand?

This might be a daft question but we´re sitting here discussing it; One person did 2 x border bounces to Burma arriving land way, not flying. Obviously he/ she can not do another until after 12months.

Here´s the question, can he/ she do a land crossing to another country or does he/ she have to fly?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A traveler can leave Thailand by land as many times as desired, but can only enter with a visa-exempt stamp twice a year via land. After completing two land border bounces to Burma, the traveler should either wait until the next calendar year to re-enter Thailand by land or fly back in from another country.

@El***
, is correct (y) you can LEAVE thailand by land as many times as you want to in a year. ;)

BUT

you can only ENTER the country without a visa on a 30 day visa exempt stamp by land 2 times in a calendar year (Jan 1 - Dec 31). :O

You can do land crossing to any country but you cannot do land crossing to Thailand until the end of this year. You can go out from Thailand through land border then fly back to Thailand...

Steve is right on the money. They either need to fly or better yet, go somewhere like Vientiane and get a 60 day tourist visa.

It's 2 border bounces per calender year by land for visa exempt entries, regardless of the country you bounce at
