TLDR : Answer Summary
The limit of two land crossings per calendar year applies only to visa exempt entries. If you hold a SETV (Single Entry Tourist Visa) or another type of visa, you are allowed unlimited land entries per the terms of your visa, but entry is ultimately at the discretion of the immigration officer.

YES you are limited to a maximum of 2 LAND BORDER entries into Thailand EACH CALENDAR YEAR.

But if you have a Thai Tourist Visa SETV or other Thai Visa you can enter Thailand using Land BORDER entry unlimited times per your visa.

However there's NO guarantee that you will be allowed to enter Thailand with a Thai Visa... It's at the discretion of the Thai Immigration Officer who greets you on arrival to decide to see allow you entry.
