I know this has been asked many times but I am uncertain….

I have Bank Account with more than baht 800.000 over the last 5 months.

I plan to be in Thailand again by end of Feb and I would like to use the visa exempt entry (subject to the answer to my question) for the 22 months extension.

Can I apply for the 12 months non-o for pensioners with the visa exempt entry or is the 90 day Non-O Visa required?

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster inquires whether they can apply for a 12-month Non-O visa for pensioners using a visa-exempt entry, given that they have maintained 800,000 baht in their bank account for over five months. Responses clarify that a 90-day Non-O visa must first be obtained in Thailand before applying for the one-year extension. The initial 90-day visa requires proof of the 800,000 baht as an international transfer, and extensions are not available for visa exempt or tourist visas.

22 month extension???

The one year extension is just that, an extension. First you need to get the actual visa, which is for 90 days when applied for inside of Thailand.

Thanks, thought so, none of TR visas allows extension longer than 30 days.

Only Non-O over 50 and visiting Thai family longer than 90 days offer the 1 year extension.

Do not want the O-A which would have been the alternative.

If you apply for the initial 90 day non-o inside Thailand you will have to prove that the 800k is an international transfer into your account . Easier to apply for non -o before arrival and then extend for a further year

You’ll need to apply for a 90 days initial Non O visa in country first before you can apply for the one year extension of stay based on this visa. There’s no one year extension for visa exemption or tourist visa.

Most convenient to apply for a 90 days initial Non O visa online through the embassy/consulate that serves your current location now. You can apply only with income/pension if you fulfill the required 65K baht a month OR funds equal to 800K baht. I don’t know your nationality, but you have a typical German, Austrian or Swiss name. If that do correspond with your passport remember you can apply for the one year extension of stay in Thailand only with a affidavit letter from your embassy in Bangkok (or consulate) confirming your income equal to minimum 65K baht a month. You therefore don’t need to prove any funds in a Thaibank now or in the future.

he already said he has the 800K it’s obvious he wants to take that route

This was all you could contribute with. Not everyone is aware of this option, so in several cases an important piece of information that many have been happy to receive.
