my turn for a question :)

I own a bankaccount, a savings account, a securities account and an asset account, all with my Thai bank.

I used to keep my 800K in a savings account for my yearly renuwal.

can I use a letter from the bank stating I have enough invested funds with securities and assets ?

TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 800,000 THB requirement for the Extension of Stay based on retirement (over 50) must be kept in a personal, on-demand savings account. Letters from banks regarding invested funds or assets cannot be used as proof.

NO you cannot have a letter from your bank saying you have assets.

800,000 Thai baht must be in your name only in an on demand bank savings account.

If you have questions, ask your local immigration office for their accepted bank account requirements.

Good luck

by mention 800K i guess you ask for the Extension of Stay based on being over 50 years of age.

No, the money can not be tied into investments, you must have direct access.
