TLDR : Answer Summary
There isn't a specific regulation on how long you must keep 500,000 baht in a Thai bank account after obtaining a guardian visa. Generally, officials expect the amount to remain for 30 days while the extension is being considered, but this practice can vary by office and is not strictly enforced.

There is no real posted length of time. What most offices want to see is that you keep the 500K baht in the thai bank account for the 30 days the year extension goes under consideration. <- BUT even that is not a real rule, just what they tell you and it varies office to office.

Thank you. Our visas (my guardian and son's ED visa expires on 22 April 22. We leave Thailand for good on 30 June 22.
thank you for your response. Does this mean I have to show my son's birth certificate from the UK again? Last time they refused to accept his certificate given by the British Embassy from another country. I was told the only British Embassy they recognise is the one in Thailand. And the Brit Embassy here does not endorse/certify docs. Wondering whether to leave Thailand and apply for a 3 month tourist visa.
that is between you and the immigration office you deal with sorry.
I don't have any suggestions for you.

the only real posted rules are you need to have the 500K baht in a thai bank account in your name only for 30 days before the first yearly extension and for 3 months for every yearly extension after that
