TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster seeks clarity on applying for a 60-day visa extension in Chiang Mai, mentioning they received a stamp on arrival in December and a COVID-related extension. Comments suggest applying before the March 25th deadline, noting that those denied extensions are usually not on a tourist visa, implying that the poster's application should be valid.

Yes...no guarantee it will be granted.

But apply by March 25th...

Go a few days earlier...if any added requirement is needed.

Good Luck

Go for it. The ones who are denied are usually not on a tourist visa. You should be fine.
