ORIGINAL POSTERHi, I was on an ED visa extension of stay (4 years and waiting to graduate)which finished on the 26 of August, so I did not get told by my uni that I needed to cancel it at immigration so I came back on a non exempt visa. Now I've been told that I'm on overstay and waiting for the letter to cancel my ED visa. What are the implications and what are my options. I will be going to immigration on Thursday to cancel my ED visa. What can I expect and what should I plan for. I left the country to go onto a tourist/non exempt visa but been told its not valid. I'm South African and not sure what my options are. Please advise of possible.
