I applied for non o based on non thai family living in Thailand September 21. It has been "pending approval" since October 21. Ive reached out via email, their fb page, and unanswered calls to get any update since it's been well over 20 business days. I leave in a couple days. If they approve my visa after I'm already in country on visa exempt, will I still be able to leave and re enter activating and using my non o visa? Tyia.
I have applied my DTV visa in Cambodia on the first week of October and still haven’t gotten the result yet. It’s been five weeks and I’m a bit worried that it might take longer due to the current situation between the two country. Should I send a follow up email to the Thailand embassy for a follow up? I’m afraid I’m might get rejected after a long wait.
Just had an interesting situation on my application. I initially submitted a first application (London) but was notified by email that it will be cancelled because I indicated the wrong passport issue country, however the application status stayed at *pending document check*.
So I submitted a new application, and additional documents have been requested and submitted, this new application is currently pending document check as well.
However, a few hours ago, the status of the first application changed to *pending approval* as confirmed by an email from the embassy (in attached screenshot). Note that even though the email says it would be changed to pending document check, when I checked, it was actually changed to pending approval.
Has anyone received a response to their email or phone calls recently? I haven't received a response from them for over a week, and they're not answering their phones.
My wife and I are applying for a DTV visa in Colombo, the embassy emailed within hours to request a PDF of all passport pages <3MB. The software I used cut some the pages, and my only noticed after she submitted. There is no way to edit the file on the portal or submit additional info. She emailed (even though it says no reply, it's not a noreply email) with the full file. They don't answer the phone. Will they request the file again or is there anything else we can do? The embassy is close by, so we could go in?
I’m a bit confused about the middle name part. Normally, I do have a middle name, but on my passport, it only shows under “Name” and “Surname”, there’s no separate middle name field. So should I include my entire given name under “First Name”? But when I scanned my passport, it did place my middle name correctly, but I’m still not sure. As I said, even though I have two given names, they’re both listed under “Name” on the passport.
So, I applied for the DTV 6 days ago (German citizen). My last name has an ö in it, a letter only found in a few alphabets. It is common to either write it as “oe” or “o” on official documents. I have been getting flights by writing it with “o” for ages.
I just got an automated email saying my visa application was cancelled due to my last name having been incorrect. There was no indication on the application or embassy website on how to spell it.
I will obviously call the embassy tomorrow and if necessary the responsible office in Thailand… but I wanted to ask if anybody has had a similar experience and whether they managed to get a refund it were able to change it after the fact. My visa application just got moved to the completed tab with a “cancelled” indication. Didn’t receive anything but this automated email. Because loosing 350 Euros for writing my name correctly is not acceptable to me.
