Hy guys. I was told in the immigration in Koh Samui that on April's 30th I will have to present a letter from the Embassy of Brazil in Bangkok. I have been trying to contact them but they are not picking up the phone or answer my messages. What should I do? Thank you in advance for your help. Stay safe!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking assistance regarding a requirement to present a letter from the Brazilian Embassy in Bangkok as part of their immigration process in Koh Samui. They mention difficulties in contacting the embassy for this letter. Commenters clarify that due to a special visa amnesty related to COVID-19, the user's visa has been automatically extended until July 31, alleviating immediate concerns about their immigration status. Recommendations include keeping records of communication attempts with the embassy and confirming the details on their passport stamp.

Check your passport stamp. If it says "permitted to stay until" and the date is 26-Mar or after, then you don't need to do anything. Automatically extended until 31-July due to the Covid Emergency.

Firstly what is the letter for ? Second there’s an automatic extension till 31 July . However just to be safe keep a record of phone calls you made just in case

Yes I suppose at that time probably they thought things were never going to go this way . So thai immigration is now cool about every one hanging in till 31 July

it's a stupidity, a letter from my Embassy endorsing that I couldn't fly out because of the Pandemia. Pretty obvious, but it was requested at that time.

email your embassy requesting the letter, just cover yourself

send daily emails

you should be covered up to 31 july, depending on when your initial visa expired

visa expirey from 26th march onwards are included in visa amnesty

if you were permitted to stay until 30th of April then it has been extended to 31 july

my Embassy telling them I couldn't travel due to Covid (I live in Samui for 9 years!) It's no sense but I was asked for.
