Hello, I am a Canadian citizen applying for a non-O visa based on marriage to a Thai. I am in CM on a tourist visa 30 day extension that expires on August 26. My cash is currently seasoning in a CM bank, thus the earliest that I can apply for the non-O visa is August 20, then having only 6 days remaining on my tourist visa extension.

I do not know how long it will take to complete the non-O visa process, so I am considering what options would be available to extend my stay here while the process is completed.

Some alternatives we are considering include:

- border bounce for 30 days extension

- apply for 60 day extension for visiting Thai family

Any suggestions or advise to get us through the non-O application period would be much appreciated.

Hello,

Does anyone know if you are able to apply for a Thai e-visa (we are British citizens) when you're already in Thailand? We are due to go on a visa run on Wednesday and return on the 12th but will still be short of time because our flights go back to the UK on the 26th of May. Yes we can extend once at immigration but to get a 3 month visa right now would be great because we would actually like to extend our UK flights & stay a bit longer. Is it possible or do you need to apply for the visa from your own country before you leave? Thanks for your help in advance.

Hello... If one enters the Kingdom as a visa-exempt American National (now extended to 45 days) what are the possibilities for extension? Also, as much as I have explained about the drawbacks of overstay, not to mention costs, my friend still thinks it's a viable way to stay for 80 days. By my calculation that would add 14,000 baht to his trip, and the scarlet letter in the passport.

Thanks as always for your guidance.

Flo Lbng

This is exactly what I worry about and do not understand.

I am a German Citizen. Here on 60 days tourist visa. It expires on 15th May.

Am I covered by this amnesty? I called Hua hin and petchaburi Immigration. They said I am and that there is no need to do anything.

But there are flights back to Germany right now. The border seems open to me. Am I really covered? Can I “just” stay till July?

Hello people :)

I am from germany and my partner from Australia, we have a visa on arrival and already extended it until the 5th of may. We are not sure about how the situation will be and if we'll be able to extend another time. We heard about that emergency extension which u might be able to get soon automatically but so far they are not sure about it. Do you guys think they'll let us stay here? Does it even make sense to go there and ask now if it will expire in one month? Thank You for you help!

Hello All ,

I entered Thailand on a 30 day exemption from Canada , on nov 20......... after 30 days , I went to Laos for my 60days visa , I just extended for 30 days at jomtien.

Visa is up on March 15 .

12 hours after arriving , a speeding car took out the motorbike taxi I was riding on . Both the driver and I suffered some extensive injuries .

My right leg broken in two places and surgery to insert a titanium plate , with screws , to put tit back together

I also required a second surgery last month,

to remove two herniated discs in my neck , also requiring titanium plate, screws and bone grafts to put me back together .

I am hoping to be walking by the time my via expires , but going home to 4 feet of snow , stairs , life alone and a truck I can’t drive with a buggered ankle,

Doctor gave me a letter saying I cannot work again until July ,

So , this Leaves me hoping to apply for another visa , and continue my recovery here and possibly be able to enjoy some time away from the frequent hospital/doctors visits .

As I see it , My options are either ,

A)Take my medical records and request a medical visa ,

B) try to apply for a course and make educational visa .

C) go out to a neighbouring country and come back on 30 day exemption.

D) create a company and start a business .

Any thoughts on the best way to proceed ?

I would like to stay for another 90 days , and see if I’m capable of returning to my previous line of work come July , if not , I think I’d like to stay...........

New at all of this and I know that every choice is at the discretion of the person to revives my file on the day of application ........

I would welcome any thoughts or insight .

Thanks in advance 🙏☺️
