Hello people :)

I am from germany and my partner from Australia, we have a visa on arrival and already extended it until the 5th of may. We are not sure about how the situation will be and if we'll be able to extend another time. We heard about that emergency extension which u might be able to get soon automatically but so far they are not sure about it. Do you guys think they'll let us stay here? Does it even make sense to go there and ask now if it will expire in one month? Thank You for you help!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on extending their visa on arrival, which currently expires on May 5th, amidst uncertainty due to travel and health situations. Commenters suggest waiting to inquire about extensions closer to the expiration date and caution against gambling on future travel plans.

You're here until May 5th. Check back on May 1st or thereabouts for latest information for staying longer due to this virus. Catch the flights out while you still can.

Best place to be is where you can do everything freely without worrying about your Visa, accommodation, healthcare and flights. Simple as that.

Gamble on what if and day dream with proposals on how to get free stays is not the way forward.

But as we only can give advice, be aware that you are not insured and the hospital fees NEED to be paid in case of.

They are running them until May 3rd I understand three times a week. Thai immigration and the German embassy are well aware of this and might not accept your reason for staying as "unable to get a flight". Act now. You have time.

You're way too early asking this question. Check back around May 1

your Government is repatriating their citizens on daily basis, so I guess the emergency letter from your Embassy that you where unable to get a flight back home in the next months is a big gamble
