Just need some advice on what you would do in this situation, I went to do my second non o extension but a couple of things went wrong, the bank letter for one was in AU dollars not Baht but my bank statement was in Baht, not accepted, they wanted 12 months of bank statements didn't have the required 800k amount for that time as i changed banks, thinking i would need only 2 months of the money being in the bank before my extension was done, not accepted, biggest problem now is im out of Thailand for 3 months and now i will have to do another non o visa so i just asking would you do an eVISA online or just get an visa exempt come back and get an agent to do the both the visa & the extension

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user faced problems during their second Non-O visa extension, primarily due to bank statement requirements and insufficient funds. They are seeking advice on whether to apply for an eVisa online or return to Thailand on a visa exemption and use an agent for both the visa application and extension. Responses suggest applying for the Non-O visa before returning, ensuring the correct funds are deposited, and considering the use of an agent to simplify the process and avoid hassles.

Get a Non-O before you return, make sure you have 800k baht in your thai bank for 2 months and go to immigration and apply for the 12 month extension of stay. Straightforward and no need for agents

The best “combination” I found is to obtain the non O visa before entering Thailand, open a bank account (you have one already), and pay an agent to do all the rest. This saves you about 15,000-25,000.

Come back in visa exempt. Then go to an agent. Just did mine in 7 days.

That's exactly what I would do. Money well spent to not have to go through all the hassles.

Get the O visa before you arrive. I understand you can change to O visa in country but agent's will tell you do it before, it's more hassle to do it here. Then you will have time to do the correct deposits. If you use an agent with the correct funds deposited its about 7K and easier the next year to renew it.

Get an agent,, no headaches what so ever , no need to tie the 800k up in your bank ( which I wudnt do anyway as it dosnt make any money on it ) no stress , ( yes a little bit more expensive but so what ) dont let people say “” oh your visa isn’t leagal “” yes it is I’ve done it this way for years with no problems at all
