Hello everyone! Pleasure, my name is Silvia, and I'm going to live in Thailand, specifically in Koh Phangan or Koh Samui. I am 27 years old and I am Italian, I ask you what is the best solution, if you can help me also regarding visas. Obviously I would like to find work, any indication you can give me is accepted! Thanks a lot for the help! Silvia ๐

TLDR : Answer Summary
Silvia, an Italian expat, is seeking advice on the best visa options for moving to Thailand, specifically to Koh Phangan or Koh Samui. Community members suggest obtaining a single entry tourist visa or a multiple entry tourist visa, both of which provide initial stays and extensions. They offer insights into the validity and application process of these visas and mention that securing a job within two months is feasible, highlighting the support from employers for work permits and visas.
Thank you very much! The visa tourist where is released in Italy? As far as the work is concerned, do you think 2 months is enough to find it? I'm a little scared, but I made this decision because I think that if I'm not leaving now I will not leave anymore.
Not to dis appoint you, but Thailand has strict rules of foreigners willing to work in Thailand. One is you can not work in a bar, this is a list to consider your options:
OK, OK, you guys are right. I have experience in the Bar industry. I've been doing this job for 7 years, but I'm a person who fits everything. I would do any kind of work.
We do not know you, we do not know your education levels, skill levels etc. We even do not know of what kind of work you like to do. How do you think we can answer the question: Is this time enough to find work.
Get the multiple entry tourist visa, it is valid for 6 months and you get 60 days of stay on each entry. Find a job and your employer should provide you with documents for the Work Permit and Non Immigrant B visa.
You should at least BUY a single entry tourist visa from the thai consulate in your country BEFORE you come here. That will stamp you in for 60 days and you can extend that by 30 more days at the immigration office. That should be plenty of time to look for a job.
