Which embassies have approved or rejected DTV applications as stock trader or managing your own financial assets for workcation? How was the activity framed in the cover letter, something like a professional financial asset manager?

I searched the group and found a few replies in the group claiming approval but they shared no details. I saw a few replies claiming the LA, D.C., and London embassies, but again without details. Or could someone please direct me to the posts that do discuss this in detail?

The Chicago embassy said on the telephone that it was not a valid type of work for the DTV visa, so I'm wondering if applying to Jakarta from Bali, or in Vietnam to Hanoi or Ho Chi Mihn City would be better, or somewhere else?

Since these are self managed brokerage accounts, I have no contracts or employment documents. I'm not going to setup a business registration for this, and I don't want to go with soft power activities.

Trading activity is more like monthly instead of daily, but frame it as daily research. I was thinking of providing the annual tax summary and account transactions for the past 5 years for the professional portfolio.
