Hi,

I have a multi entry ED visa which will expire 1st May. I would like to fly out of Thailand around the middle of May.

Is there any reason I can’t leave the country at Mae Sai and get a 30 day Visa exempt? Will I have to have a flight booked already to show them? I am from the UK. I’ve never had a tourist visa before / visa exempt before. Is there any reason why specific land borders won’t let me do that? I guess I can go to Laos but that would be a huge hassle.

Also, do I have to cancel my current visa as I will be coming back on a new ED multi entry from London (hopefully). Bit confused about the cancelling requirement and procedure.
