This post is for the UK citizens who have made a choice to apply for a retirement visa through the Thailand embassy in the UK. I am aware it costs £1500 and you have to upload all the required documents. Before I start the process, I have 2 questions. 1.Does it make a difference that I have a property in Pattaya? 2. When I get the retirement visa from the Thailand embassy in London, do I still have to open an account in a Thai bank and pay equivalent to £8000 into it?
