TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a DTV visa, it's essential to provide various documents, which can differ based on the consulate. Commonly required documents include a passport and proof of income, such as bank statements or evidence of having over 500,000 THB in an account. Some users have suggested that a Paypal account showing this amount might also suffice, but it's crucial to check with the specific Thai consulate as requirements may vary even within the same country.

Does a paypal account also work as evidence (when there are more than 500,000 THB)

I receive all my income via paypal.

Then i dont have to transfer money around.

You can print your PayPal statements from the app. I used mine for customs processing before.

the question is if it the same validation than a bank statement.

For what you used the statements?

For the DTV also?

Thanks

PayPal actually offers a deposit account and is recognized as an 'offical bank' now if Thai immigration will accept it now for the dtv depends on them. I offered my PayPal statements to immigration for visa approval before with no problem. The statements have official bank letterhead and i believe you can contact Paypal for a itemized letter as well.

It varies by consulate, you have to check the consulate you're applying at carefully for what documentation they require.

There are even differences between thai consulates in the same country.

because it's an IMAGE screen grab of a website page from the Thai Consulate in Kuala Lumpur πŸ™

keep in mind that info will only be relevant IF you use that specific consulate for your DTV
