Make appointment with your US embassy in Bangkok very early. They are fully booked most of the time. You need a letter to confirm your single status. You need it to get a marriage license in Thailand.
is this up to date info of requirements? 40k Baht income minimum for Spouse Visa, is that correct as of now? Approximately 2 years from now, when I reach retirement age, I'm considering retiring in Thailand, either on a Retirement Visa, or Marriage Visa. Am I confusing the financial requirement of the Marriage Visa with the Retirement Visa, as I have 65k Baht minimum in mind?
