TLDR : Answer Summary
The user plans to move to Thailand and marry a Thai citizen. They are inquiring about long-term visa options available to them after the marriage. Comments highlight the need to secure a marital status confirmation from the US embassy in Bangkok before proceeding with marriage and applying for a visa. It is also noted that financial self-support is important for visa approval.

Do you have a way to support yourself while you are here or it will be very hard to get any kind of visa?

Make appointment with your US embassy in Bangkok very early. They are fully booked most of the time. You need a letter to confirm your single status. You need it to get a marriage license in Thailand.

400k in a Thai bank account in your name if obtained in Thailand or extended in Thailand. Other options are available (search for Savannakhet).

non-O visa based on marriage then 1 year extension of non-O based on marriage. Did you even do a Google search at a minimum before posting?

is this up to date info of requirements? 40k Baht income minimum for Spouse Visa, is that correct as of now? Approximately 2 years from now, when I reach retirement age, I'm considering retiring in Thailand, either on a Retirement Visa, or Marriage Visa. Am I confusing the financial requirement of the Marriage Visa with the Retirement Visa, as I have 65k Baht minimum in mind?

hi, does this mean if a woman is married to a Thai she does not have to have the same proof of funds?

wasn't exactly aware that there was only one option. Are there any good visa agents you know of in Bangkok?
