Hello Group, I am here on a Non-O based on marriage, also have a Thai child and arrived April 7th, 2025. Unfortunately I didn't get the 400K deposited into my Bangkok Bank until April 29th. Fast forward to June 19 and had a medical emergency ( heart attack ), which caused me to dip into the 400k, bringing it down to around 100K. I am stamped 90 day until July 6th. I am guessing that this will be an issue at IO. I was planning on refilling my Thai bank account back up to 400K+, but wanted to consult the group first. Do I really have to start this whole process again? I am also hoping IO will take into consideration the medical situation and extend my initial 90 day, allowing me to stay and season the 400K. Will consider agent at this point. Please help!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is on a Non-O visa based on marriage and has faced a medical emergency that required withdrawing funds from the required 400,000 THB bank deposit, leaving only 100,000 THB. The user is concerned about potential issues with immigration when attempting to extend their visa after the initial 90-day period, currently expiring on July 6th. Community members suggest applying for a 60-day extension based on marriage, using their Thai child for support, or looking into visa agents for assistance. There are discussions about the strict immigration rules concerning required bank balances and potential solutions for obtaining extensions without starting the whole process over.

if you're in Pattaya I know a good agent to consult, her husband works immigration. All my friends use her, I do my own visa. You can contact me for her info...
It would be interesting to know what they say about you using the money because of a heart attack... which is what the money is actually for..good luck and get better soon...
At the end of the 90 day non-o visa, you may be able to apply for visit Thai family 60 day extension.
This will give you time to get the funds back up to 400k.
You can do custodian visa but depending on the child's age you would need court ordered custody or if they are older a letter from the ampur with at least 50% custody agreed upon.
You would need to speak to your local office for clarification.
But either of these scenarios can work if you apply for the 60 day visit Thai family extension and you won't need to start again.
What you are asking is the same as starting over. As soon as your money is back up to the bt400,000 the two months count starts over, but you get a new 90 day visa on your way to getting the one year extension, at which time you do everything again.
You might consider swapping to the an ext to "support of your Thai child" its pretty much the same documentation, but you need thier birth certificate and see them in the blue book. The beauty of this is the funds only need to be on the day of ext submission, although, there are some reports saying some office's require two months, ypu should check. Also you might be able to extend your current ext with a 60day "to visit or support your Thai wife"
You can apply for a 60 day extension of stay based on being married to a Thai. That will give you the time you need to season the required 400k. Sorry to hear about the heart attack
well a friend in udon got denied the +60 days about 4 months ago, I went to Phuket immigration to ask and they said it’s still on, 3 weeks later I go do my usual +60 day and they said that they don’t do it anymore. I spoke with the immigration police directly. Unless it’s back since then (it was 3 months ago) the +60 has been cancelled in Phuket and udon.
go at the immigration and ask if they still do +60 days based on visiting Thai family. If they don’t do it anymore you can use an agency to do it (I paid 8000 with Thai visa centre)
