While Thai wife dual national continues To work and baby are son ๐Ÿ˜† who is in UK military

My 400000 baht option is looking like 800000 option

IAM aware I could probably go Lao get visa without her but don't really won't to break any rules

As I could always spend a few months in da nang Vietnam

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question discusses whether a Thai citizen spouse must reside in Thailand for their foreign partner to obtain a marriage visa (Non-O) while living in the UK. The answer highlights that the spouse should ideally be present during the application process to meet requirements for a marriage-based visa. If the Thai spouse is not residing in Thailand, there are alternative options, including applying for a retirement visa based on age or exploring options for multiple entry visas.

You need to bring your wife every time you apply for a Non-O initial in-country visa or 1-year extension based on being married to a Thai national.

It's written, "In the case of spouse, the relationship must be de jure and de facto".

If your wife is not living in Thailand with you, your option will be

to apply for Non-O visa/extension based on being over 50 (retirement).

Or as you wrote, get a multiple entry Non-O spouse to a Thai national at the Thai consulate in Savannakhet with which you have to do a border-bounce every 90 days. Many people have this Non-O multiple.
