Hi group, new here. What kind of visa would I need for me and my two kids to live in Thailand for a year. I won’t need to work but I’m hoping I could take some cooking classes and a free cooking apprenticeship or something around those lines. Also plan on home schooling but would it be possible to have them in an international school if I have a tourist visa? Lots of questions. Thanks in advance
I would like advise on the best option for a 12 month visa please.
I have a 2 year old and and unsure of the best option is to get a education visa for him or for myself (although ive been advised he doesn't actually need a visa until 15)
I'm just unsure with all the agents and stuff people keep giving me diferent advise.
How much is a 12 month visa?
What are the requirements/ process.
Can I trust agents im scared of a fake visa obviously being a single mother I don't want to see the wrong side of the law here
How do I apply for a 60 tourist visa for a child is it the same as adult. What would I need to do for bank statement, proof of address and hotel booking
My baby was born in Thailand but we are due to fly overseas in May. When we re-enter, is it preferable for him to just enter on a visa exempt and overstay, or for me to get him a visa in advance?
We are both on British passports and I have a Non-B with work permit.
My lawyer says he can just overstay as no penalty, but I want to ensure this doesn't have any negative implications for the future.
Hi. Need some advice please for a Non O child visa. Sorry this is long..
I have elite visa (Canadian)
My husband has a valid WP but an expired Non B. (Spanish)
We just had a baby (Canadian passport now but possibly dual Spanish by the time we enter…).
We are in Canada planning on returning to Thailand.
Ideally we will renew my husband’s Non B and put the baby on a Non O dependent visa following his.
Scenario is… my husband has to leave Thailand maybe 2 months after we arrive. And the baby and I will potentially exit a month after his dad leaves. (Dad will eventually travel in and out much more frequently than us)
Questions are…
1. can the baby stay in Thailand on a Non O dependent visa (or extension of) even if his dad is out of the country?
2. Will I have problems exiting/entering Thailand with the baby when I have Elite and he has a Non O visa attached to his dad’s Non B visa who may not be traveling with us. (birth certificate has both parents names and baby carries both of our last names)
3. Should we do his visa on the passport matching his fathers country or mine? Or does it not matter? I have to check if Spanish can make a Non B in Canada, or if Canadian can make Non O in Spain 🤯 (I will always be traveling with the baby)
4. If the Non O causes problems for travel if his dad is in and out of the country. What is a better solution? Tourist visa? I don’t want problems trying to extend him during Covid when we both have long term visas (I realize there are no penalties for kids, but I’d like to keep his passport clean)
Thank you for your help. All of the paperwork/documents/entry requirements/different visas and nationalities are a bit overwhelming and I’m a bit confused about how to go about setting things up for the baby.
Any advice from multi National parents on different visas is greatly appreciated.
Hi! We have 2 visa questions, if anyone can help...
1) We organised a 60 day visa before arriving. And have just been to Krabi immigration to have it extended. They extended by 30 days. They said we could come back for the covid 60 day extension before 25th January. She said this date might be postponed (again) by the government. Which would be great, as our current visa doesn't expire until 6th February. We've tried to find reliable information about this, but no luck. Any suggestions?
2) They also charged us for our two children, ages 6 & 8, 1900 baht each for a 30 day extension. Which we happily paid, following the rules! But found out today that children under 12 do not need visa (extensions) in Thailand. Is this correct? And if so, should we try and speak to Krabi immigration? 3800 baht it a lot of money for us! Especially if taken "incorrectly".
