TLDR : Answer Summary
Inquiring about the necessary documents for applying for a visa as a parent of a Thai child, beyond a birth certificate and passport. Community responses advised visiting the local immigration office for specific requirements as they can vary by location. Commonly suggested documents include the child's birth certificate, a house registration book, the Thai mother's ID and house registration book, and potentially proof of legal parentage such as a family court decision. Some users mentioned experiences with specific document requests at various immigration offices, highlighting that requirements can differ across regions.
I did mine yesterday, you need a school letter saying he is enrolled, copy of school licence, birth cert original, his passport infact as j did it yesterday None o 60 day extension granted I have the folder of exactly the papers I took, as Todd says thou all offices are different, for me it was maha sarakham and they know me so it was quite smooth, I might be wrong thou maybe your diff to me im divorced but have a kid in a Thai school so have a none o
some Immigrations might not accept the birth certificate as sole proof, but ask for the written "family court decision" as proof that you are the legal parent
You need to GO to your immigration office and ASK them what documents you need. There are 70+ immigration offices in the country.
Usually it's the birth certificate with your name on it, the baby's house book listing, the mother's thai i/d and house book listing (if possible) and of course the baby (the reason you're getting the extension).
Are you talking about applying for a 60 day visit thai family extension?
