I have family coming in on tourist visas. They will have a 2 year old and 6 month old with them.
Will the 2 small children have to go through the same process and fees for an extension?
I remember reading that kids under a certain age do not.
I can no longer find that info.
Thanks for your advice.
TLDR : Answer Summary
When foreign families with small children enter Thailand, they need to be aware of the visa regulations regarding extensions and fees. All foreign arrivals, including minors, require a visa, even newborns. While all travelers must apply for extensions to remain in Thailand longer than their entry stamp allows, there are specific considerations for children regarding overstay penalties. Although children under 15 years old are not fined for overstaying, they still need to have their visa status managed properly to avoid illegal stays.
