Hey all, I imagine this is a fairly common question so feel free to simply point me in the direction of another thread…but having received extremely unhelpful answers from the Thai embassy I thought I’d try here…

We’ve booked a flight from Stockholm to Phuket at short notice (me, my wife, our 3 year old daughter, and my wife’s mother). We are planning to stay for 41 days. We have applied for the tourist visa in order to stay over the 30 day limit, but it’s looking like we will not get our application approved in time for our flight on Tuesday (31st October).

In the case of arriving without this visa approval, what are our options? Will we be allowed into the country at all, given that our return flight is later than would be permitted?

Any advice is more than appreciated.

I'm just checking because I haven't been back for a couple of years and this time its with a husband and kids.

I'm American and the rest of the family is Portuguese. We are applying from within Portugal.

So we would like to stay as long as we can on tourist visa. In the past I'd always just get the 60 day with the 30 day extension (single entry.)

On the website it talks about a multi entry tourist visa and Google was discussing this can be used for up to 6 months? Is this correct?

Sorry if I'm confusing, just want to figure out the longest we can stay on a TR visa.

Thank you for your clarifications 🙏

I have family coming in on tourist visas. They will have a 2 year old and 6 month old with them.

Will the 2 small children have to go through the same process and fees for an extension?

I remember reading that kids under a certain age do not.

I can no longer find that info.

Thanks for your advice.

Hi Eveyone, arriving next week with my family to get 30 day visas on arrival (we are Australian). I know we need to show the border agent our itinerary with a departing flight before 30 days. Does the itinerary need to include ticket numbers also? Just making sure I have the correct documents printed so it’s a smooth entry. Thank you

Hiya.

Me , my other half and my little girl are looking to visit Thailand and travel about for a month or so. We are both unvaccinated, we have booked our 10 day Quarantine hotel in Bangkok, our thailand pass, and sorted out decent health insurance. Is there anything else we should know that will make getting into the country unvaccinated any easier?

Many thanks.

Kyle.

Hi all, Decided to bite the bullet and finally book a family holiday to Phuket. Thought I had it all figured but now not so sure.... Apologies if old news but can anyone helps with the following:

1. We're flying straight into Phuket and hope to do the test and go (when restarted) however I just read on one the websites first not is SHA++ rather than SHA+ (IS there a difference???) We've booked a SHA+ hotel for whole stay

1. Do you need to isolate after the day 5/6 test until you get results?

1. We have to fly back via Bangkok (Singapore rules) and only staying 6 nights hence test and go. But is it just going to be easier to extend by one night and use sandbox??? Other than length of stay, is there any difference in the testing requirements? It doesn't look like it but again a lot of info out there

Thanks all for support and help!

Hi, I am planning a trip to Thailand with my family, the kids (under 18) and wife (mother of kids) from the USA. As I was looking at the visa requirements for TR 60 Days (single entry). It says I need:

"Original letter of notarized consent for the minor to travel abroad from mother and father/ legal guardian"

Do I still need to provide this is both parents are travelling together?

Sorry- I posted in another Thailand group, but this looks like a place with visa advice as well. Thank you!

Hello, would appreciate your valuable insight on this: I will be travelling with my two young sons on 26th Oct to Bangkok Don Mueang from Bali (where we live) for a one week stay. We hold Swiss passports and will therefore get visa exemption on arrival. But : my sons passports' validity both expire on 19 Feb 2020 and mine on 12 Apr 2020, i.e. all our passports have less than 6-months validity. Do you know whether this will be a problem at immigration, would they not allow us entry in Thailand? If so, I would have the possibility to get temporary passports for all of us which I believe would be valid for a year. Could I successfully enter Thailand with those? Thanks for your help.

I have heard a lot about needing 20,000 baht single/40,000 baht per family in cash on arrival when entering Thailand. My husband, son, and I are flying to Thailand from Vientiane today. The ATMs here in Vientiane only allow a withdrawal of 2,000,000 KIP. Thank you for any advice you can give.
