90 day, single entry, Non-O visa (retirement/marriage)

For a good number of years we've been advising people to come here free stamp (visa exempt), open a bank account, transfer in the required funds and then apply for a 90 day Non-O visa in country at your immigration office.

Sadly, with the changes to the way banks allow accounts to be opened now, it is almost impossible to open a bank account on a free stamp (visa exempt) entry 😕

We are now going to suggest people who want to do year retirement or marriage extensions once they're here to get the initial 90 day Non-O visa in your country BEFORE you come here via the thai eVisa online web-portal

There are several advantages to this.

1 - you can show proof of funds in a bank in your country to get the initial visa issued from a thai consulate.

2 - it makes it WAY easier to open a bank account if you come in on a Non-O 90 day visa.

These are the requirements for the 90 day Non-O visa based on being over 50 (retirement) and the requirements for the 90 day Non-O visa based on marriage to a thai national

AND

These are the choices you would select on the eVisa online system

Non-O 90 day retirement

𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝟱𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿 (𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟵𝟬 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀)

Non-O marriage to thai national

𝗧𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗶 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 (𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟲𝟬 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀)
