Just went to Chaengwattana for my visa Extension based on Marriage

They requested a few things in addition to the requirements listed in the handy summary (attached):

1. Photocopy of ALL pages of Bank Passbook, not only the final page with the current date line item

1. Photocopy of all previous marriage visa extensions in your passport

1. 2 color copies (not 1) of family photos (wife was gently scolded for wearing shorts in the photos and told to avoid it next year 🫡)

1. STM2 form - "Acknowledgement of Staying in Thailand" ([members only])

1. Form "Acknowledgement of Overstay Penalty" ([members only])

The appointment system is a godsend! The process only took 15 minutes as a result. [members only]

I leave Thailand to the USA and return on the 12th of January. I currently have a Covid/Amnesty visa that’s good until January 31st.

1) Can I get the reentry permit before I leave and then get back into Thailand on my original Covid/amnesty visa?

2) Can I get the multi entry visa in the USA and then do a border hop with it like pre Covid times?

3) if I can get the multi entry visa, then will they force me to use that when I enter Thailand and not allow me to continue on my previous visa? (A.k.a. I shouldn’t bother paying the 1000 baht for re-entry because I won’t be able to use it)

Thank you in advance! This group is truly the best and I don’t know how I could function in this country without it! Thank you for all that you do!

Also I apologize in advance if I got some of the terms wrong, which I most likely did
