Hi all,
I have finally managed to get my 90d visa and COE for repatriation back to Thailand and flights from Mozambique to Addis Ababa and onto Bangkok
Yes.... There were another 20 odd documents I had to provide to support the COE application however.. being on repat flights today 2nd Aug would not have been possible without the exceptional and outstanding service provided by Khun Shayanid Prasertpol at the Royal Thai Embassy in Maputo.
The Embassy Staff in Maputo were very accommodating with information sharing, guidance and providing details on flight options.
I know there are many frustrating stories out there and after being stuck in Mozambique for over 5 months waiting for announcements from Thailand and then trying to act on very short notice it does your head in.
I just wanted to share a story about an embassy that went beyond their call of duty to process my paperwork in record time to help me get home.
Thank you RTE Maputo and Khun Shayanid
Ps.. I also had the help from our very efficient Immigration, Aviation and Medical Teams from the company I work for.. this is the team that worked behind the scenes as well to pull this off.
Just got my 16 days of ASQ to smash and I will be with my family on the 18th Aug.
It will be 6 months of seperation for us.
Syd Stewart.
