I don’t understand where people get the notion that visa information is strictly siloed to one Ministry.

As a part of visa process, information about it and the applicant are shared with the Interior Ministry. This is both to show what visa they are applying for and to determine if they are even eligible to enter the country. The MoFA would look quite stupid if they were giving visas to people who are blacklisted or permanently banned from the country.

Immigration does see more details than are provided on the eVisa printout on their screen. They can also see all your previous visas, extensions and entries and departures.

People tend to denigrate Thailand for their tech but their immigration processing system is quite modern and comprehensive.

It’ll be noted internally so they’ll know when they scan the eVisa if it’s a DTV1 (workcation) DTV2 (soft power) or DTV3 (dependant).

Just like how they know that someone has a Non-Immigrant O for something like having Thai family vs retirement vs volunteering.
