If you have your certificate of residence to open a bank account try krungthai. Its the most hassle free bank for transfer money from abroad. Just the app is a bit unstable

Honest question that solve the most issues, in my opinion: You plan to immigrate in thailand until you pass away or you looking for a offshore bank account in a country you able to hop on-off anytime?

Good morning! Last question: If I “change the type of my visa,” is it okay to just have a tourist visa, or is it better to have a “visa to visit my wife”? Does it make a difference? – Next week, I have to extend my current tourist visa anyway (I had an ED visa for several years) and could switch to a visa to visit my wife or simply extend it for 30 days. – Thank you in advance.

Thank you very much for your time and the detailed guideline - You basical confirmed i did anything correct, bring the documents neccessary and just get lost in translation. Unfortunatelly my wife didnt insist either beacuse no one would tell an office he's wrong! Now i have to apply for interrim visa first, beacuse i do not have 15 days left now...anyways - thank you very much!
