How many months must a bank statement show the 500k baht minimum balance for a Thai visa?

Some get away with having it for one day. Some need 3 months. 3 months is the requirement, but depending on whoever reads your application it's not always enforced.

Worst case stay 90 days with the money and travel outside and apply.

If you got the money from a friend only to show and then give it back to him, then stay home
