Do I need a visa for a layover in Bangkok without changing terminals?

Vietnam needs but Thailand does not. 2 different countries 2 different rules.

I need a visa into Vietnam but I don't for Thailand can not compare 2 different countries or their rules.

Many Asian countries have mutual agreements which does not include countries such as Australia, USA or UK etc

Hence Japanese passport was ok and USA was not

TM30 is the registration of a foreign person staying in a resident, regardless of hotel or private it's a legal requirement within 24 hours of arrival

It's not a visa you get on arrival as Cissi said, it's visa exempt, just an arrival stamp no visa.
