What are the current updates on opening bank accounts with a DTV visa in Thailand after recent regulations?

If you are able to open a Charles Schwab investor checking account in your country and have someone mail you the card, I highly recommend it.

No foreign transaction fees on their end and worldwide ATM fees reimbursed each month. Especially useful in Thailand with those 220 baht fees.

And for anyone who didn't know this, always select "no" when the ATM asks if you want to proceed with their conversion. It's more expensive that way.
