took me 1 hour in bank and definitely 20k. There may be different levels of debit card but both the branch and call centre have confirmed mine is capped at 20k. I Got 50k over the counter by showing passport. If I try 30k at ATM it tells me 20k per day only

20k per day now. I used to do 2 transactions, 30 then 20k. Atm will no longer give 30k

I'm talking about atm withdrawals. If you want money over the counter you need passport and at least 1 hour of your life.

Interesting scenario.

My friend had to use an agent last year because they had 800k in a kasikorn account but not seasoned.

They are due for extension soon and have not dipped below the 800k since.

Would they be able to DIY at Jomtien immigration or would they need to use the agent again?

yes, also experienced that but at least you can check in via ticket machine and then go to bag drop with domestic. With international you have check in at the counter even if hand luggage only. I'm not sure if the Thai Nationals are treated the same though.

It won't let you check in if flying to Vietnam as staff need to physically check documents and onward ticket, especially foreigners

The drop downs weren't good on my Android.
