Theoretically I agree. But as I said as a born Thai citizen born in Thailand you will not face consequences if you gained dual citizenship and entered on the "wrong" passport. Suppose she loses her citizenship while in Thailand? I am certain she will not have to do border run to be considered Thai again.

She couldn't even check out with her "wrong" passport. It's void.

Of course she can get s new thai passport in Thailand. Regardless on what passport she entered.

Theoretically the restrictions apply to her. I am just saying I am sure she will not face any consequences if she enters on her UK passport and get a new Thai passport inside the country. Once she got her new Thai passport she will not have to leave as they cannot punish her thai identity for what her UK identity did wrong in the immigration process.

She is not an alien

I didn't say it wouldn't be much simpler entering on the expired thai passport.

I just said I am sure there are no major consequences if she enters on her UK passport and renews her thai passport in Thailand and the restrictiond will not apply to her since she can prove she is Thai already

Because this will be for farangs becoming thai citizen in Thailand. They have to leave the country and reenter first to be "considered" Thai.

But this will not apply to a born Thai citizen born in Thailand.

Thai was the first nationality in that case

Not for a thai citizen. overstay penalty will be void once you proved you are a citizen

Again if she would lose her citizenship while being in Thailand. She could not "check out" with her UK passport.

No way to leave thailand with that passport.

Overstay rules do not apply for thai citizen

I don't believe that. Suppose you enter with a other passport and then you lose your citizenship of that country?

Where will they deport you?

Once you are a citizen of any country you cannot overstay and they cannot deport you.

Or will they blacklist your "foreign national identity" and ban you for years because of overstay?

But your thai identity is legal there?😅

She can enter with her UK passport and get a new Thai passport in Thailand. No problem. Even if the 30 days are up. You cannot overstay in Thailand as a thai citizen. Regardless if your thai passport is expired or not

But will the airline let one board with expired passport I wonder.

Most countries let their citizens enter with expired passport. But not sure if it is more for land borders
