finally a sensible rule for those of us who have Thai dual citizenship with different names on passport. Makes it easier with the Thai ID.

they use to do the O visa if you are thinking of the one that was on St Kilda Road. Though I think now you have to use the Sydney consulate; and those visas were only issued if the foundation had issued you a letter confirming your placement and it was a registered foundation through the Thai government.

If it was like this , I had to have an Australian address for it to be sent to, they would not mail it to my address in Thailand. Maybe it’s changed for state & federal checks.

None at all I have the same scenario and have been traveling to & fro for 9 years without hassles. The Australian passport is linked by the system to her Thai passport. If she’s not had them linked up just request at check in at the airport in Australia and they will do it at the counter it’s a painless minute but saves hassles to carry papers or explain to others.

the person who checks her in on her flight at the airport. They make a quick phone call. She just has to show them both passports and ask them to link them. They then make a quick and painless phone call to get it done.
