When Srettha was PM he said they are looking to simplify matters by reducing the number of Non O categories from something like 15 down to about 7...hoping that would entail those on Non O Marriage getting something better than the current lengthy annual process.

I've similarly been on Non B and Non O's for more than 15 years, but now I'm seriously considering switching to the DTV so I no longer have to endure the annual Non O (marriage) annual extensions. In the meantime hoping that the streamlining of Non O's that is apparently under review provides some more benefits for Non O Marriage visa bro's.

Indeed, I got my 12mth ME Non O (Thai marriage) visa at HCMC on 25 Oct 2022 (i.e., post-covid). With a pre-booked appointment I found them to be quite efficient as long as you complied with list of docs on their website, including Thai bank book that showed ample funds.

if unable to use the website, and unwilling to report in person at CW, then you could use the Bumrungrad Hospital Business Centre service to report on your behalf. If you live between Ploenchit and Phrom Phong that might be considered ‘efficient’, although they charge a fee of approximately 500 baht for this service.

Regarding your query about tourist visa cost in Australia it looks like you could be up for up to $275:
