555 I already figured that would be the case, one can hope though. If they went back to the old prices, I would do the 20 year in a heartbeat. Not much difference between 800k held hostage or 20 years no red tape.

maybe they will lower the prices to become viable again.

He was in a cat cafe that pays for a/c. Open door, cats run out not to mention the a/c is on. He wasn't ranting about some friend leaving his house. He was showing respect to the business. How was that hard to understand?

Why is it that he had a bad morning when someone else is the one that showed a lack of consideration for his surroundings? I didn't read that he got confrontational about it, only that it was irritating this person's lack of manners.

Therein lies the problem for him and many of us, quieting our minds is no easy feat.

you'd think someone talking about a carbon footprint might know who Greta is.

2018-2020 3 times a year, back again after covid, 2023 3 times a year since and have never been asked about finances at all. Actually, I've never been asked about onward travel or finances. It's exactly as you say, if they're looking for a reason to deny you because of past habits then you should be prepared to show proof of whatever they might want.

I got a Thai driver's license in Nong Khai for 205 baht, no agent. Did paperwork at transport office, went to immigration, waited 1 week and had certificate of residency from immigration, back to transport office, quick couple of tests and now I am a proud owner of a Thai DL.

hopefully they include SeaTac (Seattle) as well. That's if this even happens. If it doesn't happen, 12 hours to Taipei, 3 hour layover and 3 hours 45 minutes to BKK with EVA isn't terrible. You're on the ground in Bangkok at noon ready to go.

in Nong Khai, immigration wouldn't give a certificate of residency, just the receipt for my tm30 showing I filed it. Banks needed/wanted the certificate. Got my driver's license and also a certificate of residency because the Transport office requested it. Took a copy of the certificate to the bank and they wanted the original. Huge pain, I was on the 90 day Non-O and they still gave me grief.
