Thailand isn't paradise, but it's better than the UK.

Do not put all your eggs in one basket based on holidays in Thailand. Look around at other countries for work and Thailand will always be there for holidays.

Yes I sorted out my retirement visa with a 30 day visa exemption., which is plenty enough if you planned ahead and know where you are going live.
