what I was trying to refer to was he go to the Thai embassy in your home country and give them the paperwork to verify that your monthly pension income is at least 2000 a month or Social Security income

yeah you have to get the income validated, preferably at your embassy before traveling to Thailand

If you qualify for a O Retirement visa you can prove you have I think around $2000 monthly income to avoid the bank requirement
