the embassy said to email if i want to cancel it. But i can utilize the METV visa for 90-120 days and then cancel it, to reapply dtv from neighbouring country

not really. I applied through the remote worker route. I prepared weeks on perfecting my application. Including itr, statements maintaining 500k for more than 3 months, client business licence. It wasn't even the soft power route. Yet rejected
