Thanks, I have had longstay visas in the past and once worked in Thailand for 7 years with all the necessary permits and long stay visas. Now I spend most of the year in UK and but just want a straightforward way to spend 4-5 months per year in Thailand and have a bank account to meet recurring expenses. No visit would be longer than 7 to 8 weeks (which is what's covered by my travel insurance) and I'd always return to UK after each visit. I thought the single entry O visa might be the answer as (unlike the single entry tourist visa) it requires evidence that I have sufficient finance.
