A known scam when you give up your passport to the cycle rental shop: They will claim that the cycle you returned is damaged or this or that and won't give your passport back until you pay a "ransom" repair cost. Or they follow you, steal the cycle back and you return to the shop to report the loss and forced to pay a high cost to settle the bill and you passport will be released to you. Please no trolling on my comment
Go to an Immigration Office to apply for a 30-day extension at a cost of 1900 Baht. You will need some documents to supply your extension. You can google the Thai immigration website for this information.
Doesn’t the 1 year, 90 days, multiple entry visa still exit for non-O marriage/family VISA still exist? It’s maximum 90 days stay, go somewhere, return for another 90 days, do it again and again within that 1 year period.
When you return to Bkk as a Canadian Passport holder from Laos, you will get a 30 day visa exemption. You can go to immigration to get a 30 day extension. If you leave Thailand after that 30 day extension, you can fly out to a nearby country and return again for another 30 day Visa exemption.
