well that’s not the case necessarily . You may have had other circumstances that we don’t know of. I have been in and out for 9 years, done probably 40x30 day extensions, 25xborder bounces, only ever entered Thailand on entry stamp (no visa ever). It’s just up to him/her that’s stamping you through. I would say always have an outbound ticket, always have proof of funds, never overstay and always be polite. There is no “rule/law” so it’s purely a guessing game. But from my experience the above things will always get you stamped. Not saying it didn’t happen to you mate just sharing what I know true/happened to me. You must really have got someone on a bad day!
