Anonymous participant DLT is the Department of Land Transport. That’s where you’ll go for your license and to transfer the vehicle registration.

DLT doesn’t issue certificates of residence. But they can stamp a copy of your certificate to use only at the DLT.

When you go to the DLT, tell them you have two transactions to do there with your certificate residence. They can give you back a certified copy of the certificate of residence to use for your other transaction.

They did this for me a few years ago, but things always change. I don’t know if they still do it now.

Now immigration wants you to buy the bike, show them a copy of the green book, and then they will issue a certificate of residence. It’s annoying but it’s an anti-scam measure that they’ve implemented.
