I'm always reading how hard it is to open an account, walked to a kasikorn few days ago and was out in 30 mins with my account.. ED Visa even.. as long as you have the documents you're fine.

Don't believe everything on the internet about spending a whole day there shit gave me anxiety. I went twice, one in Hua Hin, went at 11am was out in 15mins. Second time was in Bangkok, arrived nearly 2pm and was out at 3pm.
